Legend has sit that it was at Petra Tou Romiou (“the Rock of the Greek”) also known as Aphrodite’s Rock, that the goddess arose from the foam. It is a rocky piillar, a sea stack in Pafos, Cyprus. “Eternal youth” is also priomised to anyone who swims around the rock, but bathing is dangerous. We didn’t test the legend. The water was a little chilly.

It looks as if you could paddle around the first/closest rock, but even if warm I wouldn’t try the other two – eternal youth might not be all it’s cracked up to be.

I also don’t know how far those pebbles go. In Croatia, they went a long way out and we had to buy special swimming shoes.
