Lockdown #2 Day 6 – Reconfinement Jour 6

View from my kitchen window

We have clay soil which makes this slope a challenge. We are in that period when there are still flowering perennials such as Japanese anemones that lose their leaves in winter while those that flower in winter such as Christmas roses (hellebore) are just starting to bloom. Last year the deer ate them all but we put up a new fence at the bottom of the garden recently so I’m hoping they will survive!

My Algerian Irises have started to flower. If you got any in that clump I gave you, they may not flower this year due to being disturbed, but hopefully you’ll get something. If not, May next year for the Siberians!
