Another unusual feature in the village of Vallières les Grandes are these little peaked roofs each with its own weather vane, seen from the front gate and back gate.

I hadn’t thought of that! We did see another indication of a roofer in the town though. His compagnon masterpiece of a dormer window in his front yard is now only a ruin. Do you know about the compagnon masterpieces?
