We are spending the last few days of our holiday on Lake Orta quite close of where we began nearly a month ago at Lake Iseo. This is the little island in the middle of the lake.

A lovely spot, and what a dramatic sky!
The storm is quite impressive and the island a draw card.
I’ve just googled as to where this is. 3 weeks ago we stayed at Stressa, so I know how enjoyable your stay will be.
@William – yes, the sky was very dramatic!
@Helen – We chose Orta because we thought it would be easier to book than Lake Maggiore and better for cycling. Last year, we stayed on Lake Garda. The Italian lakes are so beautiful.
